What is the name of your company and can you tell us something about yourself?
Kelly Koepke Professional Communication Services – I help small & micro businesses and solo-preneurs tell their stories – to their current customers, their potential customers, and to the media (including social media).

What is your topic for WordCamp?
I’m presenting strategies for marketing your WP site to find followers, fans and readers.

What do you hope attendees learn from your session?
I hope attendees will realize that getting the word out about their site doesn’t have to be complicated, expensive or time consuming. Just thoughtful.

How do you use WP in your business?
I use WordPress for my own business website for a couple of of reasons – it’s easy, it’s affordable and it does what I need.

What is the name of your company and can you tell us something about yourself?
I work for Automattic, currently doing development work for the Akismet anti-spam service.

Can you tell us why you love WordPress?
WordPress makes it easy for just about anyone to get a site and/or blog up and going on the web. And it takes it to the next step by making it easy for people to customize it with themes and plugins.

Site Performance, From Pinto to Ferrari

What do you hope attendees learn from your session?
Tips for seeing how fast their page loads are now, and what things can be done to make them faster.

How do you use WP in your business?
Automattic runs WordPress.com, so we host millions of WordPress powered sites 🙂

What is the name of your company and can you tell us something about yourself?
My company is Mindshare Studios, Inc. I live in Santa Fe with my wife, Lara, and 1.5 year old son, Jack. Other than web development, I enjoy rock climbing, music, biking, and being outdoors.

Can you tell us why you love WordPress?
I love the flexibility and depth of the platform. WP provides a perfect foundation for most small and medium businesses to build a solid, inexpensive web presence on.

What is your topic for WordCamp?
WordPress Security.

What do you hope attendees learn from your session?
I hope attendees realize that security is not something they can avoid paying attention to any longer. I’ve seen an increasing number of WordPress sites get hacked and compromised by malicious code. If this hasn’t happened to one of your sites yet, it is only a matter of time. It’s better to take a proactive approach to security.

How do you use WP in your business?
I have used WP extensively for client projects as well as our own internal sites. It is our go-to solution for most projects because of its huge developer community, flexibility, and accessibility. We have developed over 100 WordPress sites for a really wide range of industries.
