Still Need Volunteers!

Want to be involved in WordCamp? Want a free ticket? Volunteer!

We need volunteers for all of the following areas:

  • Working the registration booth;
  • Greeting and directing attendees;
  • Helping folks with their sites at the Happiness Bar;
  • Helping to distribute and clean up after lunch;
  • Helping to record sessions;
  • And more!

You can work many shifts, or only a couple, it’s up to you. If you’d like to help out with any of the above, or you have another idea for something you’d like to do, fill out the Volunteer form!

P.S. If you’d like to help out but you won’t be in town for the event, we also need help with some pre- and post-WordCamp tasks.

More is more!

If you’re a designer, you might be partial to the “less is more” mantra. But if you’re attending WordCamp, “more is more.” As in: MORE SESSIONS. We just shortened all sessions to 45 minutes so we could fit another time slot at the end of the day with three more sessions, one each for Designers, Developers, and Publisher/users.

Thank you! Throw money! (Register!)

We took a moment to chat with Keya and here is what she had to say:

How did you get started with WordPress?

I started tinkering with WordPress about 7 years ago – just to have a blog section in an old html website.

Have you spoken at a WordCamp before? How many have you been to?

I’ve never spoken at a WordCamp before. This will be my first! I think I’ve been to (let’s see, NYC, Boulder, Las Vegas, Phoenix, ABQ and San Fran) 6 before.

What’s your favorite thing to do when you aren’t working with WordPress?

Favorite thing to be doing when not working with WordPress would be outside skiing down a mountain or playing in the surf (not big waves mind you, but like 3-5 foot ones).
