{"id":832,"date":"2016-04-05T16:07:15","date_gmt":"2016-04-05T22:07:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2016.albuquerque.wordcamp.org\/?p=832"},"modified":"2016-04-06T15:42:13","modified_gmt":"2016-04-06T21:42:13","slug":"coming-in-from-all-directions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/albuquerque.wordcamp.org\/2016\/coming-in-from-all-directions\/","title":{"rendered":"Coming in from all directions!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our <a href=\"https:\/\/2016.albuquerque.wordcamp.org\/speakers-for-wordcamp-albuquerque-2016\/\">speaker line up<\/a> this year is talented, diverse, and coming in from far and wide.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve got speakers from as far away as Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, and Costa Rica, all bringing their own flavors to the WordCamp stone soup.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hilary Fosdal<\/strong>, owner of <a href=\"http:\/\/redphonestudio.com\/\">Red Phone Studio<\/a> in Chicago is a seasoned WordCamp speaker who has given presentations in Chicago, St. Louis and at the recent US WordCamp. Her topics are varied but they always center around good communication between client and web designer. For our WordCamp she&#8217;ll be talking about project management.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jeff Wells<\/strong>, the\u00a0furtherest traveller\u00a0is coming from Costa Rica to talk about using the WordPress API. Jeff is an\u00a0organizer of Costa Rica WordPress Meetups and the\u00a0lead developer on a project that involves Sport fishing and using the WP Rest API\u00a0to send and receive data between a\u00a0native app and a WordPress installation. The project also\u00a0uses the Rest API to port the videos from the WordPress installation back out to an AppleTV app.<\/p>\n<p>Based out of Cincinnati, Ohio we&#8217;ve got <strong>Danny Santoro<\/strong>\u00a0who will be speaking about using WordPress as a Framework. Danny\u00a0spoken at a dozen WordCamps in the past two years in Dayton, Philadelphia, Columbus, and Las Vegas among others. He had his own freelance company before going to work for WooThemes and now works for Automattic in their Woocommerce division.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marjorie Asturias<\/strong> brings her many years of\u00a0expertise in running a social media and content marketing agency to her talk on Marketing Your Business With WordPress. She now works for Automattic and has spoken at many WordCamps and other conferences in and around her home state of Texas.
