About

WordCamp is a community-organized event focused on all things WordPress,  a popular CMS (content management system) that now powers 25% of the web.  WordCamps are not fancy, high-priced conferences with full lineups of industry-famous speakers.  Instead, they provide relevant information to WordPress users at an affordable price and encourage the local community to be part of the speaker lineup.

Wordcamps are a great way to get to know other WordPress users in the local community and find out how you can get involved in your local WordPress meetup group.  Looking for a project collaborator? WordCamp is a great place to be.

WordCamp Focus

The focus of each WordCamp is different.   This year, WordCamp Albuquerque is specifically targeted towards intermediate WordPress users who have a basic understanding of WordPress and want to dig a little deeper into what is available to help them build amazing websites.

What to Expect

Expect to come away with more WordPress knowledge and some new friends!  For more information, see this WordCamp Central article on what to expect at a WordCamp.  Also see our recent post on whether WordCamp ABQ 2016 is right for you.  WordCamp Albuquerque 2016 is a one-day event on April 30th with two simultaneous sessions happening throughout the day in different rooms at our venue, WESST.   View our high-level schedule of the day for more details, and stay tuned for our finalized schedule at the same place- coming soon!
